Planning for The Hall

Permission has been granted for refurbishment and extension works to The Hall, a significant Grade II* Listed property situated at the foot of the North Downs AONB.

The extensive property will be completely refurbished and put back to a wonderful family home. Our scheme sensitively restores and extends a handsome, 5-bay brick house together with associated listed barns, new swimming pool and lake.

Sadly, much of the houses once heavily timbered and ornamented interior has been lost, nonetheless, it still has much to justify its grade-II* listing, most notably an unusual roof structure with principal trusses incorporating raised crucks, whilst a mini-king posts sits between the ridge and a high-level collar. This is all highly unusual for Kent, with crucks traditionally being a northern and western phenomenon that never has much of an outing in the county.

TaylorHare are currently developing the technical design and are looking forward to starting works on site towards the end of the year.
