Redvers Centre
On a tight awkward site in Chatham, TaylorHare undertook the re-development of a former redundant Victorian school building into a contemporary development of 16 apartments and 8 new build town houses.
TaylorHare were invited to prepare a sketch scheme for the redevelopment of Redvers Centre on a site of approximately 0.3 hectares, adjacent to Redvers School in Chatham, Kent.
The site occupying the former Redvers Centre School Building has a steep topography from north to south and looks out on three sides to terraced housing. We were asked to propose a residential scheme for a mix of both individual and terraced housing, coupled with apartments.
The proposed development is for a new build residential development of 8 town houses and 18 apartments, comprising of one and two bed apartments and two and three bed houses.
The scheme gained planning approval at committee.
